Rewrite fights prejudice and injustice by bringing together young people from different backgrounds through the power of drama and creative writing. They are winners of the Capital Community Foundation Award for outstanding work with young people and a Rising Star Award from the Global Fund for Children.

Mondays 5.30-8pm – React is a young people’s drama group who work together on drama projects and performances that explore the social, political and cultural issues that they feel are important. Young people are encouraged to create work which challenges prejudice and injustice and perform for new audiences.

Tuesdays 4-6pm – Creative ESOL is an innovative programme for newly arrived young migrants and refugees to develop their English language skills, confidence and integration through drama and the arts. Sessions are delivered by a qualified ESOL teacher and experienced drama practitioner.

Thursdays 4.15 – 6.15pm – Free Writers is a creative writing workshop that aims to promote new literary voices, working with those who are most alienated from literacy and literature to support their learning and help them engage and thrive in educational environments.
