Community Food and Gardening Course

Funded by the Lottery, this course introduces learners to the principles of urban food growing, healthy eating and healthy cooking. It also gives participants an understanding of how food is grown locally and how they might grow food themselves at home. In addition to all of this, participants had the opportunity of undertaking a level two food safety and hygiene certificate. This qualification has proved useful for learners as they embark on work in the food and catering industry.

All days course days run between 10am and 3.30pm and you should be available to attend for the whole day (any problems with doing this should be discussed with Sarah Parry, course coordinator)

If you are interested in attending our next food and gardening course, you must be available to attend all of the following dates:

Wednesday 11th April 2012
Thursday 12th April 2012
Wednesday 18th April 2012
Thursday 19th April 2012

On the last day of the course, the course participants organised a graduation event which they organised. Each participant invited a guest to help them celebrate their achievement.
